An agroforestry project aiming to the protection and enhancement of the environment. We started with an agricultural section, with the objective of increasing the local production of organic vegetables and fruits.
This main objective will be followed by others as consequence of it, like reduction of the carbon footprint (lories coming from central region will no longer be necessary), improvement on the food security (we don’t depend on foodstuff produced in a distant region) and improvement of the local economy (the money of the local population circulates in their own pockets). The same core values keep standing on this section, applied now through these simple strategies:
We constructed a store in the land acquired in Toloro for this purpose. In this farm will set a model of farming that will be exemplary for the beneficiaries of the project. They will have opportunity to learn about every step, from planting to harvesting, and different styles and ideas.
It is key to select farmers who have certain attitude rather than knowledge, in a way we can have direct impact on them, but later they can extend that impact on other farmers through their example. We decided to start with a total of 50 farmers, in a way it is easy to handle and we really manage to implement the best practices. This identification is been than under a criteria developed within the project, with the workers.
After selecting the beneficiaries of the project, will be time to identify those farmers who are excelling on their practices. This way, apart form showing in our farm a standardised way of producing organic vegetables and fruits, we will be able of showing the farm of those model members of the community, to help and inspire other beneficiaries or other farmers in the community.
Through this society, we are aiming to centralise the production and the marketing in a single entity. We are going to promote networking and joint venture, to facilitate the easy outgoing of the production, securing the highest possible income for the members. If the project is successful, this cooperative society should be able of sustaining itself after a support during three or four years.

The entire project is from the Moyo people to the Moyo people, an effort to secure food reserves that can sustain their lives. The role of every farmer would be to contribute to the common efforts.
A net of farmers is created, bringing the different communities together and connecting them.
The key personnel by the project will be continuously sharing the best of their knowledge with the participants, making sure their efforts yield fruits and improving the economy of the families and Moyo District at large.
